About Structoo

Civil engineering is demanding work. Many of the tools we rely on are proprietary, and our salaries do not always stretch to expensive licenses—especially when we only need something straightforward. Structoo exists to fill that gap: free calculators you can trust, bookmark, and use for quick checks without hunting for a license key.

Everything you see here could be reproduced from design manuals or by typing equation numbers into a hand calculator. Structoo’s purpose is to make that workflow faster so you can spend your time on judgment, coordination, and creativity—not repetitive arithmetic.

The site is aimed at professional engineers and architects in the United States and will grow to support other regions over time. Students in these fields are welcome too—we hope Structoo helps you learn by seeing how familiar formulas behave with real numbers.

The word engineer is not about engines or mindless routine. Structoo can handle the routine. Engineer traces to Latin ingenium—ingenuity, cleverness, and creativity. We want to help you practice engineering in that sense.

The AISC shape database filter uses properties from the AISC Shapes Database v16.0 workbook, a companion to the Steel Construction Manual. Structoo is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by AISC. Confirm values against the current Manual or your specifications before using them for design. If you regenerate bundled data from the workbook, comply with AISC’s license for that file.
