Fillet weld capacity (LRFD-style)

Nominal strength of a longitudinal fillet weld per AISC 360-22 J2.4: R_n = F_nw A_we with F_nw = 0.60 F_EXX and effective throat 0.707 × leg size. Design strength uses your resistance factor φ (default 0.75). If weld length is omitted, only line-load capacity is shown.

For sizing only—verify electrode, load combination, effective length, and connection geometry against AISC 360 and your project standard. φ = 0.75 is typical for welds in LRFD; use the factor required by your jurisdiction.
